How to Help Fellow Filipinos Devastated by Super Typhoon Yolanda

Unfortunately, people died in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Yolanda. If you've been watching the news lately, you would have seen that it's like a war zone out there in the affected areas. As much as the government wants "zero casualty" we know it does not have the capacity to make it happen.

And so people lost their lives and we mourn their passing. But even as we are saddened, we can't lose sight of those who barely survived. They are the ones who lost loved ones, with homes destroyed, lack food, water and everything else.

They are disheartened, hungry and in dire need of a helping hand. We can think of them as our brothers and sisters who found themselves in an impossibly difficult situation through no fault of their own. If we were in their shoes, they would surely help us as well.

We just can't turn our backs on them. The help that we can extend in whatever form will make a difference in their lives by putting them on a path to recovery.

Sometimes life is a struggle. And some of us are struggling more than others right now. But we don't have to be unmindful of the lot of our kababayans. We can do something about it.

If you are reading this then I know you are capable to help out. Here are some of the organizations that you can donate to. You may choose which you think you can trust to deliver your help to those in need but I think all of them can do the job very well.
